Newport Beach: July 7th

July 7th: Ruby’s breakfast. We rented a boat and went for a harbor cruise. So fun! There was a sea lion that kept following us..kinda like he was playing with us or the boat, rather. At one point, he had a huge fish in his mouth. Really cool. After the boat ride, we beached it up.. our last day (tear). That evening Danny took me on a romantic date (romantic meaning no kids and no cell phones) to my favorite spot, the Crab Cooker. I really enjoyed my salmon, coleslaw and fresh tomato’s… yum! After dinner, we headed down to Balboa to hit up the ferris wheel, arcades, and merry go round with all of the cousins.

July 8th: Good bye beach. We drove from California to Vegas listening to Justin Bieber’s “baby baby” song on repeat. A request from the 3 year old. And when you are driving, it’s a whole lot easier to just give her what she wants. We went to Vegas and did a little shopping and then stayed in St George until Sunday. I love St George and would move back there in a heartbeat! Saturday we went to a little farmer’s market.. picked me up some jam and cheese. The others went to some natural water falls. I stayed back with Hank. We swam at the condo’s pool. Ate at the pizza factory for dinner, played at the splash park and finished the night with some ice cream from Neilson Custard.

We got home early evening Sunday night with vacation blue’s. Whitney had a meltdown the second we pulled into the drive way.. crying and screaming.. because she didn’t want to be home. She wanted the beach. Well me too!

I am grateful, as always, for my family. There is a lot of us and we are all very close knit. I’m grateful for the gospel that allows us to be an eternal family. Can’t wait for the beach parties in heaven. I’m sure they are to die for! J
