Conversations with a 3 year old

{Picture taken by my very awesome and talented cousin Jenny}

A couple of Saturday's ago, we were driving home from a wedding and were talking to Whitney about it and if she had fun dancing with her friend Lilee. She responded: "Ya, but I didn't like daddy's dancing because he was freaking me out!!" {And she really emphasized the work 'freaking.'} Her dad is quite the crazy dancer. His dancing kinda freaks me out too. :)

One night, we were reading out of her little Book of Mormon and talking about Nephi and his brothers, Laman and Lemuel. Whit said: "They weren't very nice to Nephi." Me: "No, they weren't." Whit: "Well, that's ok. Heavenly Father will teach them to be nice. I always share all my toys with Hank. I am nice, huh." Me: "Yep, you are the nicest."

We were going for a walk and we had the following conversation:

Whit: Mom, why do birds have wings?

Mom: So they can fly.

Whit: Why do they fly?

Mom: Because that is how Heavenly Father made them.

Whit: Why do we have cars?

Mom: So that we can drive to places and get there fast.

Whit: Oh, why are there so many people on the earth?

Mom: Before we came to earth we lived with Heavenly Father and Jesus. They sent us to earth to learn and grow so we can go to heaven again some day.

Whit: Oh, cool. Mom, why do we have dogs?

Mom: Because they make us happy.

**The curiosity and questions of a 3 year old. They never end. :)**
