Welcome Change

I can't believe October has come and gone and now we are half way through November.
Time goes by too fast.

This September, Whit started preschool again and she absolutely loves it! We also tried out soccer, which to my surprise, she liked a lot too.

Also, in the month of October, I decided to quit my job.  It was a huge decision for us. I have never not worked, so it was strange at first but my job right now is to be the best mommy for my kids. It really is the best thing I have done! Previous to quitting, Danny traveled every week to California, Monday to Thursday's since July, so the strain on having him gone was hard on both me and the kids. He isn't traveling anymore and we have loved having him home.

On top of quitting my job, I got released from young women's, for reals this time.  ;) Having been in young women's for 5 years, it was hard at first. I didn't know what to do with my open "mutual night." ..And I still miss the girls like crazy.

And just when you think the Lord is going to give you a little breather, He decides to stretch you a little bit farther.. I got called to be the Primary President in our ward. Which was a huge shock for me. I have never served in any primary capacity before. Not as a teacher. Anything.. So I was very overwhelmed at first. Luckily, my counselors are beyond amazing!!! They have all served in a primary presidency before and know everything about primary. They help sooo much and I am grateful for them as they are patient with me as I learn the in's and out's of primary!

Anndddd last but not least, in January I start nursing school at Salt Lake Community College. I am beyond nervous and excited as our family starts this new adventure. I applied for the program 2 years ago and got called in June to start January 2013. I haven't attended school for a long time, but I know without a doubt this is the right direction for our family and a direct answer to our heartfelt prayers.

We have been so blessed this last year and I am grateful for and have learned to welcome change. Change isn't something that comes easy for me, but I have seen the Lord's hand and direction in our life. I know with out a doubt many prayers have been answered. Not how I had hoped, but the Lord opened doors of opportunities for us in His way and on His time table.
The gospel is awesome and I couldn't imagine my life with out it.
