9 Months--

Whit just turned 9 months last week and I can't believe how big she is getting! We just had her 9 month appointment today and she is weighing in at 17.5 lbs and is 27.25 inches long. I can't believe how fast time goes, it's crazy! Here is a little update on what little Whit has been up to:

  • She loves to roll around and play with her toys. Her favorite toys are her cell phone and little piano. She has not started crawling, although she is very close! She will scoot to things on either her bum or her stomach.

  • She will drop things on the ground and will say "Uh oh" and when I pick up whatever it is she dropped and give it to her she will drop it again and say the same thing. She thinks it's a really fun game!

  • Her little personality has started coming out as of late, and she is definetely a little "spit" fire! She likes to throw temper tanturms when I take her food or toys away. She also HATES getting dressed, it's a nightmare. She is just like her dad!

  • She plays and plays really hard and then will just crash. She is just a busy body, won't cuddle or sit still. I love her though and couldn't ask for a sweeter little baby!

She likes to pull funny faces. This is just one of her many.

She loves to play with her friend Camden!

8 Great Things I have Learned in 2008-

8. Always be prepared for a rainy day- spiritually and physically. You never know when a "storm" might be coming!

7. Through the "thickest part" of the storm grab an umbrella and dance. Danny has taught me to be grateful for the most simple things life has to offer.

6. I have learned that the storms and trials we go through are opportunities to learn and grow together. And weirdly enough, I am grateful for them.

5. I am human. I make the same mistakes OVER and OVER again yet the Lord still seems to bless me.

4. Miracles are real and prayers are answered.

3. I have learned that faith is a verb.

2. I have learned not to judge a book by its cover. There are many layers and pages to a person and to really get to know someone you have to be willing to open the book.

1. I have learned that being a mother to Whitney has allowed me to love like I didn't think possible. It has also given me a greater love for my family aanndd-- I couldn't have picked a better spouse to see through this crazy life!

Ever Wonder-

Do you ever wonder why we- as in me, Danny, and Whitney- rarely have any pictures of the 3 of us posted on our blog. I'm sure you're all wondering that, right!? ;) Probably not, BBUUTT in case you were, this is why....

Danny hates taking pictures and will do anything in his power to mess up every picture we try and take! Poor little Whit, she looks so scared!

The Great and Terrible...

I just finished a series called the Great and Terrible by Chris Stewart. He is a LDS author and his first book, The Brothers, starts out in the pre existance and talks about the war in heaven and about our life their. It is a fictional story mixed with Mormon doctrine. It is an interesting book and puts a different perspective on what our life might have been like in the pre existance. I really liked it! The other 5 books are about the same characters, but what their life is like on earth in the latter days before the second coming. It is a GREAT series if anyone is interested in a good read! But, since all good things must come to an end...... I am in dire need a new good series or book---so, if anyone has any good book suggestions please send them my way!!
